John Updike, a friend of and contributor to the NYQ, passed away Tuesday morning, January 27, 2009 at the age of 76. Among other poems, his cult classic poem, "Cunts," was printed in both NYQ 15 and again in NYQ 26, a special "best of" issue. His full obituary can be found here.
